Triple Peaks Challenge 21st March 2009 Back in June 2008 what started as a once a week run has developed into what could easily be one of the biggest physical challenges any of us have yet to face. These runs initially started as an quasi counseling session between myself and Aaron after my daughter Georgina passed away in May 2008. We then thought that if we could run and raise money we could keep ourselves fit and help the fantastic support services that were invaluable to Georgina and my family. Living at the foot of three of Hawkes Bays most prominent physical features we decided the Triple Peaks would be the way to go for our first challenge. Click Here To View Our Training Blog.

Aaron getting his blisters sorted, we still had one peak left to do.
We were joined by Ben the dog for the last leg
Crossing the Tuki Tuki, it came as a welcome relief, that was one hot day!
The kids were brilliant all day shouting and cheering at every opportunity, it was a good feeling when they joined us to run across the finish line in 5hr 23 The Triple Peaks Challenge 2009 is now complete so far we have raised over $8000 Challenge #2 Triple Peaks Challenge 13th March 2010 The Georgina Lucy Charitable Trust are back at it again in 2010 with Chris and Aaron running the Triple Peaks and raising funds for the Make a Wish Foundation. In 2009 we managed to raise over $8000 dollars and we made donations to Ronald McDonald House, Little Elms and the wards that Georgina spent time on during her battle. In 2010 again with the support of our principle sponsors Fern Ridge Ltd we have decided to focus all of our fundraising towards Make a Wish who provide a fantastic service to sick and terminally ill children and the funds we raise will go towards a recipient from Hawkes Bay. Chilling out prior to the start at the Havelock Domain
A little bit too chilled - we thought that it was going to be the same as last year, the teams started first followed by the individuals but we soon realised as the last runner went past that we had got it a bit wrong!
First transition and getting my pack ready for a top up
Our support was fantastic always ready with fresh water and food - Debs, Lucy, Sam & all the kids - thnx guys
Second transition picking up Ben the Dog all ready for the final leg
Same as last year we were joined by the kids who had been cheering us along all day - that is such a good feeling.
Finish line - now that was a welcome sight, we did good 5hours 5mins
It was a pleasure to shake Aarons hand we had worked so hard this year to achieve our goals, the support this guy has given me has been unreal and I can't thank him enough. We didn't quite get under the 5 hour mark but there is always next year - Yeh Right!!
